Lotus Style Issue
Problem
You open a message from the Internet in the Notes client, only to find that a stationary image, meant for a specific corner of the message, tiles the message body. Alternatively, features of the message are lost, such as background color and custom link features, or overall design.
Solution
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# BKOH6A6DHL.
HTML 4.0 includes the ability to create and use style tags within the HTML Header. Notes clients and Domino servers do not currently support these tags. MIME-to-CD conversions of these messages will produce expected results.
Webmail, Domino Web Access, and POP3 clients may all render these messages properly, if the user's Person Document mail storage preference is set to "Prefers MIME" or "Keep in Sender's Format" (Domino 6.x) or "No Preference" (Domino 5.x).
